On a rainy Thursday morning in February, I headed downtown in a taxi with a special bride who was meeting her sweetheart at City Hall in New York City. It was a casual morning getting ready, although excitement was definitely all around us. I’ve always wanted to shoot an intimate city hall wedding, and what better chance than for my friend Becca Thorpe, and her beau Tyler Fransen. I met Becca about 9 years ago while we were modeling, and she’s the one who actually introduced me to my fiance, which is a story for another day! Ha! This last year has brought about lots of big changes in Becca’s life, like the fact that the modeling world has lost one of their best, as she is now the head booker of the new plus board at the prestigious Muse agency. But the best change by far is the one I’m sharing with you below! I was so happy to have been a part of this awesome day! I even got to sign the marriage certificate as the witness! As if I didn’t have enough proof with all these photos that this wonderful day did in fact happen!!! With just a few close friends, the day was the perfect celebration of this couple’s commitment to each other and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. Their reception lunch was at Brinkley’s in Soho, complete with a first dance, and the biggest cupcake you’ll ever see! The day couldn’t have gone any better… except for the fact that we forgot her cute little bouquet in my fridge!! Ayayay!
Becca & Ty, it was a pleasure capturing this special day for you, and my wish for you is that you’ll always be this happy for the rest of your lives, rain or shine (see what I did there?!
). Congratulations to you and I can’t wait to share in all the good things to come from here!
